Editorial Policy & Standards | FinTech Bulletins
Effective: October 4, 2026
How FinTech Bulletins operates: what we publish, how sources are attributed, where automated assistance is utilized, and how to request a correction. This page describes our editorial standards, ethics, and practices.
1. Who Publishes FinTech Bulletins
FinTech Bulletins is an independent, Pakistan-first publication covering financial technology, payments, digital banking, and capital markets. It is operated by Muhammad Essa (Co-Founder & Platform Lead), based in Karachi, Pakistan, together with Muzammil (Co-Founder & Technical Lead) and Ali Asadullah Shah (Co-Founder & Research Lead). Author biographies, roles, and profiles are published on About. Business address: FinTech Bulletins, Karachi, Pakistan.
2. What We Publish
The site features three distinct content streams:
- Live news feed (/news): items aggregated from external industry publications. Each item names its source and provides a link to the original report. Feed items are aggregated automatically and are not independently fact-checked by our editorial desk — always consult the linked original.
- Original analysis & whitepapers: in-depth pieces authored by our editorial team and published under verified author bylines (each piece carries its own
/editorial/:slugURL and is linked from the news feed). - Markets data (/markets): Pakistan Stock Exchange quotes, currency exchange rates, commodities, and benchmark indices, refreshed periodically and subject to market latency. Strictly for academic and informational purposes — see our Disclaimer.
3. Sourcing and Attribution Standards
Every aggregated news article clearly credits the primary publisher and links to the source. Our original analysis articles link directly to public regulatory gazettes (State Bank of Pakistan, SECP), datasets, or research whitepapers. When a figure cannot be independently verified from an authoritative primary source, we treat it with the same rigorous skepticism we recommend to our readers.
4. Automated Assistance and AI Labeling Policy
We employ modern machine learning and language models to assist in drafting and data synthesis. We uphold complete transparency by labeling machine-assisted work:
- AI-assisted badge: displayed next to the article byline when machine models assisted in drafting. Human editors review and fact-check key arguments before final publication.
- Illustrative scenario banner: displayed above fictional or simulated narratives illustrating how complex financial regulations impact consumers. Illustrative pieces also carry an "Illustrative scenario" label in the text itself, stating that names and settings in the piece are illustrative while the analysis is drawn from published data.
- Bylines: every original editorial piece is credited to a verified human editor or to our editorial desk, FinTech Bulletins Editorial. Machine publisher handles are never used as standalone bylines.
5. Corrections and Factual Inquiries
We are committed to factual accuracy. If we publish an error, we correct it promptly. For material factual errors in our original analysis, we issue a clear correction notice. For errors originating within aggregated third-party articles, please contact the original publisher directly. See our Corrections Policy for full instructions.
6. Editorial Independence and Commercial Funding
FinTech Bulletins is free to access without paywalls or subscriptions. The platform is supported by clearly marked third-party advertisements (including Google AdSense). Advertisements do not constitute editorial endorsements. We strictly prohibit paid editorial coverage or sponsor-driven news tampering. Any commercial partnership that touches content presentation is prominently disclosed.
7. Non-Advisory Nature of Financial Content
Nothing published on FinTech Bulletins constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Market data and editorial commentary are provided strictly for educational and informational purposes. Please review our full Disclaimer.
